Hello, world!

Hello, world! Is there really any other possible title for a first blog post of a programmer? But, before we continue with the useful stuff let me first introduce myself.

My name is Yiannis Kalliantzis and 23 years ago I was born in Thessaloniki, Greece where I live since then. I am a graduate of the Computer Science department of Aristotle University, the largest educational institute in my country. Currently, I am pursuing my MSc degree on ‘Knowledge, data and software technologies’ in the same school. Professionally, I worked as Quality Assurance engineer for about 6 month and as a Full-stack developer that gets his hands dirty with Java - Spring, and Angular 4 for more than a year now. If you want to learn more about me, you can read the ‘About’ section of this site or you can follow me on social medias.

Nice to meet you, people!

So, now that you have learned who am I, let’ s answer the next possible question: ‘What is this blog really about?’

Well, as every programmer should know by now, every day at work or university is a new challenge. A new problem that requires a fast, clever and accurate solution. So, in this side of the Internet I would like to share my experiences, the problems that I deal with and the possible solutions that I come across.

Additionaly, I would love to discuss with you some topics that may not belong to our every day work related concerns, but which I find interesting and challenging. I will try to have such a post at least once a month, where I will try to present a problem, the solutions that exist out there, how that issue can probably affect us along with a peronal opinion on the optimal solution.

That’s all for now! I hope that this little contribution to our community will actually help somebody one day.
